Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Launched INA-CRC and Committed in Accelerating Clinical Trial Approval Process in Indonesia

On October 16th, Equilab International was honored to be invited to the INA-CRC launch hosted by the Ministry of Health. Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. dr. Dante Saksono inaugurated the INA-CRC as the national center to coordinate clinical trials in Indonesia. This marked an important event in Indonesia's clinical research history.



“Our hope is that through INA-CRC, we can conduct more clinical trials and to increase clinical trial ecosystem in Indonesia. My target is for INA-CRC to become one of the clinical trial hub for multi- country research supported by simplified clinical trial regulations in Indonesia” said Prof. dr. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Sp.PD-KEMD., Ph.D – Deputy Minister of Indonesian MoH - , in his inauguration speech.


The event included a talk show moderated by Mrs. Indri, Head of BB Binomika, Mrs. Rizka (MoH) and Mrs. Christine (BPOM) expressed optimism about Indonesia’s clinical trial ecosystem, highlighting BPOM’s alignment with international standards. Mr. Azhar (MoH) emphasized that INA-CRC will standardize clinical trial and MTA approvals, especially with global sponsors.



“We are transforming to serve Indonesian citizens, and the government is responsible for their well-

being. One way to achieve this is through clinical trials. We support every effort to improve the health of the Indonesian people” Dr. Rizka Andalucia and dr. Azhar Jaya – Directorate General of Indonesian MoH – concluded the talk show.
